The State of California and the County of San Bernardino enforce Building Standards, which include Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Energy and Electrical Codes.
The enforcement of these codes is accomplished through the “permit process”.
The permit process includes:
- The review of construction plans to determine design compliance with applicable codes
- Permit issuance
- Inspection of the construction work as it progresses
- Final inspection approval and the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
The goal of the permit process is to insure that buildings which are constructed meet minimum code standards necessary to protect the public’s health, safety, and property, and to promote energy efficiency and accessibility for disabled persons. Building and Safety also investigates complaints regarding unpermitted construction and accessibility violations.

I have sent my I.T. guy the final pictures of the revamped City of Yucaipa Library. He should have those up very soon! It looks amazing, and we did an amazing job.
Anyways, we have been very busy installing the 150Kw Emergency Generator, dealing with the city and the fire department. Things are moving along quite well, and should be done in 2 weeks.

I would have some pictures of the project we just finished today (june 1st 2011) that we have been working on the past week, but due to contractual secrecy, we are not allowed to post them. Oh well, we have been super busy doing a lot of commercial electrical work and now we are doing a lot of security camera project’s.
The commercial electrical work we have been doing is 100 amp 120v/208 installation (350ft), T.I. electrical installations, a lot of pipe and wire installation, and still doing service work and trouble-shooting electrical problems.
